Have you ever met a generous person you didn’t like? Generous people are attractive.
Generous souls are relaxed when we are in their home. The generous soul thinks, “what’s yours is mine.” That’s attractive.
Generous souls never try to impress us with their possessions. “Things are, — well, just things! That’s attractive.
Generous souls are grateful souls. They have the attitude that says, “Freely I have received…so freely I give.” And they believe the promise of the Messiah that says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” That’s attractive.
Generous souls believe it’s more blessed to give than to receive. And they prove it over and over. That’s attractive.
A well‑known philanthropist was asked, “How is it that you give away so much, and yet have so much left?””I suppose it’s like this,” he replied. “I shovel out, and God shovels in, and he has a bigger shovel than I do!” That’s attractive.
Generous souls move with such grace, not weighted down with excess baggage. They know their treasures have already been sent ahead and await them in heaven. That’s attractive.
For those who are stingy, generous souls are a sign and a wonder. How do they do it? Why does their supply never run out? I guess it’s because they are not cisterns for holding, but channels for releasing God’s endless riches. And that’s VERY attractive to GOD.
Think of some of the people who have been generous to you? Do you like them? Dumb question
